Basswood Canvas Cradled 1-3/4"
Basswood Canvas - These panels are made in the USA, by Walnut Hollow a family owned business in Dodgeville, Wisconsin. They developed these solid wood panels as an alternative to the plywood and masonite panels typically found in the marketplace. They use a true 1/4 inch thick solid basswood board and mount them on a 5/8 inch thick solid basswood frame. The overall depth is 1-3/4 inch on the sides. These are beautifully made panels and offer a nice alternative to plywood and masonite. These wood canvases are sanded smooth to remove the grain to prevent interference with your artistic techniques. Each piece is made of kiln-dried wood, and its main advantage over the typical canvas is this will not stretch or warp with your painting, drawing, decoupage, stain, varnish, or any other artist medium. Ideal for fine art, encaustic art collage, woodburning, wood carving, stamping, cover with paper, fabric, paint, alcohol inks - the list is virtually endless. This canvas is also reversible: use with or without a frame, add glass and make it into a shadow box. Basswood is very absorbent and offer a wonderful surface for encaustic painting.

Jemma Lewis Hand Marbled Paper
Jemma Lewis Hand Marbled Paper - Jemma Lewis is a skilled paper artist from the United Kingdom. We are very excited to offer these beautiful papers by Jemma. She uses acid free, 120gsm long-grain paper. Most of the papers that we have are cream (buttermilk) color, with the marbling done on one side. Finished papers measure approximately 18x24 inches. Our scans show one small section of each sheet, and most of the scans are reduced so that you can see the amazing amount of detail and intricacy in each pattern. Please note that these are unique, handmade works of art- we only have 2-4 sheets of each style, and each sheet will vary slightly. These are phenomenal for bookmaking, origami, and all paper arts.
