DaVinci Gouache (Opaque) Watercolors Gouache is an opaque watercolor which was once very popular with commercial artists and illustrators. Most of these artists have given up their brush for a keyboard and color printer. Recently, however, we have received numerous requests for gouache from traditional watercolorists. DaVinci gouache is available in a 37ml tube. That is the size of a standard tube of oil paint! We had David Hoffend, one of our resident artists spend several afternoons comparing DaVinci to Daler Rowney, Winsor & Newton, and Turner goache. We kept David in the dark about the pricing of the paints and asked for his honest opinion on working properties, color strength, and opacity of the various lines. David consistently found DaVinci at or near the top in all categories. When we told him the price, David's response was "Order them, I want some". So here they are!
