Jack Richeson English Spalter Brush- 1" Wide
This long handled brush is somewhat stiff and firm due to the short bristle length. Great for background painting.
What are Spalters?
Brushes designed specifically for large canvases (spalters) were
created to permit working from a greater distance without sacrificing
control and finesse. Brushes for the needs of fresco painters, who had
to cover large, often abrasive surfaces, were also created. The wear and
tear on fresco brushes demanded that they be economical, and the
distance required of spalters demanded fine balance and control.
These brushes are also fantastic for those working on Theater
Scenery. Whether working in acrylics, tempera, watercolors, or oils,
these brushes will more than please the most demanding painter. The 1" brush has a handle that is 9-7/8" long; made from lacquered wood.

Michael Harding Non Absorbent Acrylic Primer
This is not just another primer! After many years of talking to artists and listening to their needs, I have specifically formulated my primer to be non absorbent. This means artists will no longer be frustrated by the dullness of paint which has had the oil drawn out resulting in flat, muted looking paint surfaces. Countless numbers of artists have called me over the years asking the question, “Why has my paint gone dull overnight?” My question in return; “Did you paint upon an acrylic primed surface?” The replies have always been, “Yes how did you know?
Although this product is non absorbing it will provide a strong bond to the layers of paint applied with just enough tooth so not to be greasy in feel. The result after painting upon my non absorbent acrylic primer: oil paint colours that look as though you have just brushed them on to your canvas!
