Woven in India, with the look of silk organza, Organdi is made of natural cotton. Organdi is part of the gauze family of fabrics, and as such, it has a stiffness to it, and a tight weave. Fine artists are already experimenting with it on their digital printers. Of course, others use it for more playful endeavors, like making small bags to hold candy or other party favors. Purses, lampshades, stationery embellishments, and crafting are all perfect applications for this fabric; it also makes ideal book cloth and wonderful scrapboooking embellishments. PLEASE NOTE: Our scans of these sheets are slightly enlarged to show detail. The weave of the sheet is a bit finer than the images show.
