Sennelier oil pastel- a creation of geniuses! In 1949, Pablo Picasso asked Henri Sennelier to create a new medium that had qualities of oil paint and soft pastel in an easy to apply stick form. Picasso told Henri "I want a colored pastel that I can paint on anything... wood, paper, canvas or metal without having to prepare or prime the surface." This collaboration gave birth to Sennelier Oil Pastels; pure and intense drawing sticks, with a completely new form of consistency and smoothness.
Sennelier Oil Pastels feature the highest concentration of top quality, pure organic and mineral pigments on the market. Non-yellowing, non-siccative, non-acidic, inert binder. Non-acidic wax that gives Sennelier oil pastels superior strength, adhesion, and suppleness.
The set of six is an introductory set with basic primary colors- red, blue, yellow, and green; plus black and white.
