Plein Air painting is a time-honored tradition of setting up outside on location to make a painting both locally or when traveling. The artist experiences a strong bond with nature. Colors are selected quickly while making one choice after another until the painting is completed. Often used as studies for larger pieces, the smaller Plein Air paintings have gained in popularity with collectors and first time buyers.
Since 1887, SENNELIER has a rich history of providing Plein Air painters like Cezanne with their colors. This 36 color SENNELIER Plein Air Collection has been chosen for its simplicity and ability to mix a full spectrum of landscape color, without carrying any extra weight in the field.
