Solvents and Thinners
IMPORTANT:
California's Air Resources Board ("CARB") regulates VOC content of certain consumer products, including paint thinners. Those regulations contain exemptions for Artists' solvent/thinner, but the exemption is limited to containers no larger than 34 ounces. Five other states; Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, New Hampshire and Utah have adopted rules based on the CARB regulations. Be advised that all solvents in containers larger than 34 oz do not qualify for the Artists' exemption. These non-exempt products cannot lawfully be shipped to California, Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, New Hampshire and Utah. The 34 ounce and smaller sizes of these products will continue to be sold in those states for use by artists under the exemption.
