Glass Pens
Glass pens were very trendy in the 17th century Venice. Today, J. Herbin put them on your desk as ornaments and working writing instruments. Thanks to the small grooves in the nib, several lines can be written without dripping. Simply dip the twisted end of the pen into your ink and write the way you would with a dip pen. Every glass pen is hand crafted and therefore unique. When the nib is slightly blunt do not hesitate to use fine sandpaper (grade 400). Rub the nib gently on the paper and the pleasure of writing will be renewed. For best results, use ink that is water soluble and does not contain acrylic or shellac hardening agents.
