These stunning papers are hand marbled in Italy by a master artisan. Every single sheet is a work of art unto itself! These classic European patterns are ideal for bookmaking, collage, book arts, and much more. The base paper is acid free and folds beautifully for origami and other paper arts. Imported directly from Italy. Sheets measure 19.5 x 27 inches. A "Stormont" marbled pattern is done using a small amount of turpentine in the final color. This results in speckles that have a fine, lacy appearance. It is one of the most difficult effects to achieve because adding too much turpentine will result in overly dispersed paint instead of the fine, delicate speckled pattern.
