R&F Pigment Sticks- Pigment sticks are handmade oil paint sticks that are lipstick soft and richly pigmented. They do not have the hard waxy texture and thick leathery skins usually associated with paint sticks. Pigment Sticks can be used directly on canvas without denting it. They are firm enough to draw with yet with slight pressure they become a buttery paint that can also be brushed or worked with a knife. Pigment Sticks will dry like oil paint to a tough flexible film. They contain only refined linseed oil natural wax and pigment and they can be used alone or in combination with oil paints. R&F Pigment Sticks are made without driers so any drying occurs naturally and more slowly than other brands. We stock the regular size, which is 38 ml and measures 3/4 x 5 inches. We also have larger sticks in the blacks, whites, naples yellow, and brilliant yellow; the large size is 188 ml and measures 1-1/2 x 6-1/2 inches.
