Art Nouveau Paper Patterns

Art Nouveau patterns are second in popularity only to Art Deco. The swirling, curling, asymmetrical lines of Art Nouveau style are seen on all of the paper patterns in this section. Art Nouveau was very popular during the late 1890's and early 1900's, during the "Belle Epoque" era. During WWI, the sweeping and curling lines of the Nouveau style became more angular, symmetrical, and hard edged- effectively bringing in the Art Deco design period.
